Lost in translation…
No this is not a movie review that I’m writing about. The reason I say Lost in Translation is because I’ve recently had an opportunity to come to Tokyo for work. I say come because I’m still here and will be leaving to Hong Kong Sunday morning.
I usually don’t write about anything other than Acting gigs but this is pretty major in my life write now so I’m sharing with you
If you’ve never been to Tokyo then let me tell you that it’s similar to NY in terms of cost because it’s very expensive. The major difference being the language. I recommend if you have an opportunity to make the 13 plus hour trip that you buy a book that teaches you basic Japanese words because English speaking people in this country is hard to come by. One other note, if you into dancing Salsa then shine up those Tito Puente dance shoes because Japanese people love to dance Salsa (not all) and they dance very well…almost made me want to go take lessons again…hahaha
All in all, good 6 days in Tokyo, a lot of great memories and feels like the start of a new and very important Chapter in my life, where do I go from here? Well, Hong Kong off course! I’ll be in Hong Kong for 5 days for work and will try to squeeze in a lot of shopping and hanging with my ex-college roommate. Pictures from one of the most memorable trips are posted in my gallery
