April showers bring May flowers…
May 9th, 2008So when it rains it poors, last month I filmed three commercials and had a great time doing them as they were all kind of comedic.
- This commercial (or web series) is a spot I was in for Adiddas new sneaker line called bounce. The concept of this commercial is a bunch of guys competing in a ring to see who is the “King of the Bounce“. You can see me a few times in this clip below about 45 seconds in is a pretty good profile of me on the left hand side of the screen wearing a brown shirt. The funny thing about this is that all the competitors, although they are actors, were actually competing for real prize money. - Click this link to the video
- The second commercial was produced by Fox sports and it will air during the All Star Game weekend. For those who don’t know the All Star Game will be played this year at Yankee Stadium. I had the opportunity to play a harassing fan trying to get Jeter and A-Rod’s autograph (I’ll post photos I took soon). I also had an opportunity to play a bike messenger standing outside of a building in midtown Manhattan looking up at the New York Magazine building. I’m sure you’ll see me here as they shot a close up of me and another actress but I won’t know for sure till the segment airs nationally on Fox
- The last commercial I shot in April was for a local liquor store in the Bronx called North End Liquor. We filmed this with 5 other actors. The premise behind this was that we were expecting to receive a box of liquor but ended up getting a box full of arts & craft. So my lines were “why didn’t you just let North End delivery it themselves”. I haven’t seen the full commercial but it should be floating around cablevision in the Bronx pretty soon.
Now lets see what the Month of May has installed. I supposed to be helping out a friend on a moving he’s doing for one of the many film festivals he’s targeting. I will be playing a HS teacher, more on that after it’s produced…
How much of a Jungle was it…
March 16th, 2008Although I’m not a huge fan of the show Lipstick Jungle I was happy to be part of the cast and in the Jazz club scene a few months ago. I always find it funny how people go crazy over seeing celebrities in public but when you are on the set working sided by side with a fellow actor you clearly see that they are really no different than the average person.
They are doing a job just like you and enjoy it the same as you. You don’t see people running up to them to get their authographs and what not, they are truly just regular people.
With that said, the cast did a great scene and one side note about Brooke shields, she is in incredible shape, having grown up watching her in movies like Blue Lagoon, it was great to chat with her for just a minute and see her in person…
You can see my TV debut as a jazz club patron on the show on episode five (105) about 50 seconds into the scene at the jazz club I can be seen behind Victory Ford in that opening scene. I’m hard to miss with my blue/white club shirt.
Let me be clear and let it be known…

Politics
January 3rd, 2008Not usually into politics but I have to say this next election is going to be very interesting. Is the US ready for it’s first African American or Female president? Only time will tell.
I’d personally like to see a democratic president irrespective of a woman or AA because it just feels like we need a change. We’ve been bushed for the past 2 terms and I think the US is ready for some new leadership from a different party. I know I am!
Quick update - Obama (d) and Huckabee (r) win in Iowa Caucus.
Watch out for timeshare “prize winning” contest from La Mega
December 20th, 2007Although I like listening to La Mega, it’s probably worth telling a quick recap of a prize I supposedly won in the summer time with La Mega. They had a contest that if you were one of the 30 callers to answer correctly a question you’d win a prize package to a nice vacation hot spot.
Well long story short, the prize cost 200 plus bucks for processing fee and you had to fly yourself to the vacation hotel. In addition you had to listen to a 4 hr talk about, well you can imagine. It had to be about a timeshare. Long story short, nothing is really free and watchout for these lame radio tactics on behalf of the timeshare companies.
